Dr. Breanna Becker grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland. She first began working at Howard County Smiles as an assistant and lab technician for 5 years while in high school and during summers off from college. She knew she wanted to be a dentist since the age of 6, after watching her father, Dr. Ray Becker, bring his lab cases home to work on.
Her passion for the artistic side of dentistry led her to pursue a degree in studio art from James Madison University while simultaneously completing her prerequisites for dental school. Following undergrad, she earned her Masters of Science in Medical Science and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
During Dental School, she served as her class secretary and as a teaching assisting for multiple courses, developing a passion for educating others as a teaching assistant for multiple courses.
Dr. Breanna Becker is proud to come back to Howard County Smiles to work with and learn from her father, this time as a dentist. She is excited to take the knowledge and skills honed by the practice for the last 40 years to the next level.
Her approach to dentistry can be described as meticulous. She has a passion for preventive dentistry and educating her patients to make empowered choices for their overall health. She believes it is important to get to know everyone who sits in her chair on a personal level, so they can work together as a team to achieve their individual needs and goals. She is excited to put her studio art degree to use and create beautiful, functional smiles.
When not helping patients, you can find Dr. Bre spending time with her husband Ryan, their rescue dog Remi, and family and friends. She loves anything outdoors, including hiking and traveling. She enjoys working out reading as many books as she can get her hands on, cooking, and baking. She prides herself on her chocolate chip cookie recipe.
